A good portion of Thursday will remain quite wet at times, with rainfall amounts ranging from 0.75″ to up to 1.25″ within some of the thunderstorms. Very windy conditions return for the end of the week and will continue throughout the weekend, with another round of showers and storms arriving late Friday night and continuing into the day Saturday. The beginning of the Wisconsin Fishing Opener looks to be a bit wet and windy, with more showers on the way for Saturday morning and afternoon. It is important to note that at first with scattered storms, we think the primary threats will be large hail, damaging winds and a few isolated tornadoes.

We will continue with the storm threat into our Wednesday and Thursday forecast. The severe weather activity lies much more concentrated to the west rather than within our viewing area. We still see a marginal risk for severe storms developing Wednesday and Thursday with the main threats of damaging winds and hail. Which means some of the storm cells may produce winds of 50+ mph with hail the size of quarters in diameter or larger. As we will see the potential for rain Tuesday through Thursday, there is another round of flooding concerns. Within the three day span many areas have the potential to pick up 1″ to 2″ of rainfall.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Storms from overnight are pushing through northeast Kansas this morning. While a severe t-storm watch was initially issued overnight, radar trends have kept the storms below severe weather limits so it was canceled. It is still possible to get a brief severe storm today but lightning and locally heavy rain will remain the primary concerns. Dry tomorrow with the next round of rain late Friday night into Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorms return to central Wisconsin throughout Thursday morning and afternoon, as gusty southeast winds help to usher in higher humidity for the day.

High temperatures will jump back into the 60s and a few lower 70s for the day, before another weather maker brings more wet weather to The Badger State late Wednesday night.
